I'm pretty into table settings lately, so much so that I elected to spend part of my birthday putting together this pretty table for dinner with my family.
The table was primarily pink and orange - a sassy and festive color combo...perfect for my birthday!
Excluding the flowers, I pulled this table together using all things I already had.
You might recognize the dinner plates, flatware, and glasses from my Easter table setting - and the tablecloth and napkins from my Valentine's table.

Since I knew this dinner was going to be followed by birthday cake, I set out my mom's pretty vintage Aynsley dessert plates.
I topped the dessert plates with the place cards - they're just simple circles I cut out of orange cardstock.
I filled the center of the table with tea lights and three small vases of flowers.
I'm all about flower arrangements made with just one color and type of flower - makes even carnations look elegant, don't you think?
I had a really great birthday. Thank you to my family and friends for the fabulous food, presents, messages and company - you sure do know how to make a gal feel special.

Looks like a lovely birthday!
I knew those plates were familiar. I love how the centerpiece goes well together with the tablecloth without looking redundant! I will definitely do something like this for my mom's coming birthday. Happy Birthday and I hope to see more of your work!
