Bright and Shiny Lamp DIY

Remember this white lamp from Goodwill that I was going to spray paint a bright color (I mentioned it here)? Well, it's done! Here's what I did:

I covered the lamp's hardware with painter's tape.

I gave it two coats of Rust-Oleum primer.

Then, I gave the lamp three coats of Rust-Oleum meadow green spray paint.

Finally, I gave the lamp several coats of Rust-Oleum clear gloss spray paint.

Here's how the lamp looks now.

Feeling inspired to spray paint something?  I posted two spray painting pointers here.

Thanks for the great inspiration. I would like to do something similar in red!
