I Love Lamp

Have you noticed all the bright curvy lamps featured in so many design magazines and blogs lately?

Lime green lamp in an interior by Angel Dormer featured in Lonny magazine .

Turquoise lamp in Lauren Nelson's home office featured on Design Sponge.

Emerald green lamps in a bedroom by Miles Redd featured in Lonny magazine.

Happy yellow lamp in the bedroom by Angie Hranowsky in Lonny magazine. 

Red lamp in the bedroom by Christina Brian of Full House blog.

I need want a lamp like this.  Sadly, since they're so hot right now, big bright curvy lamps are not easy to come by for less than $100...or at least that I can find.

Fortunately, I scored this white ginger jar shaped lamp at Goodwill for just $15 that I'm going to spray paint a bright color.

It's going to go in my living room to replace the Waterford lamp I've had on loan from my mom ever since I moved into my apartment three years ago.

The color of choice: bright green!

I'm not quite done yet, but I promise to get back to you with final pictures of details about this lamp DIY very soon.
