Homemade Valentine Ideas

I really like Valentine's Day, primarily because I love making and sending valentines to my sisters and girlfriends. Last year I was too caught up working on these projects in my bedroom to make or send any valentines, so I'm particularly excited about 'em this year.

These are some of my favorite homemade valentine ideas:

I think these hand drawn valentines by Alisa Burke as so classic and beautiful. She made 'em with construction paper, a black pen, watercolors and puffy paint.

I think these lollipop superhero valentines by Zakka Life are the epitome of happy.

This dynamite valentine by Make it Do is pretty darn clever. It's made with Rolo's candies, red construction paper, a piece of black licorice, and a black pipe cleaner.

Sara Westbrook designed these sweet text valentines, and she's made them available for people to download and print for free on her blog One Charming Party.

And, one day when I have a daughter or niece, she and I are going to make these adorable lollipop flowers for her grade school class valentine exchange thanks to Poppies at Play.

Valentine's Day is still a month away, but I can't wait to make my valentines, and for the ladies in my life to receive them.

And now I leave you with this little valentine poem:

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Thank you for reading my blog,
You're 'da bomb.
