I love Halloween; in addition the fact that I really like candy and almost any occasion that calls for getting dressed up, I love the homemade costumes. Some people are SO FREAKING CREATIVE.
Sadly, come Halloween-time each year, I can never remember any of the great costume ideas I saw the year before. So, this year, the week after Halloween, I’m going to blog about the best costumes I saw … and potentially call dibs on a costume idea for next year.
But, before I get too far ahead of myself, this year for Halloween I’m going to be a sheep! I came upon the idea in a Google search for “creative costume ideas”… super creative of me, right? This is the picture that inspired me:
I’ll post pictures once the costumes are underway. I can't stop thinking about how much fun we’re going to have holding doors open for each other, taking turns saying, “after ewe.”
And, as a side note, I predict this Halloween will be dominated by Jersey Shore costumes. What do you think? I think I have mixed feelings.

I haven’t actually made the costume yet- it’s on the agenda to-do this Sunday. Juliet is coming over (she’s going to be a sheep too, we’re going to be a pair!) and we’re going to get to work gluing cotton balls on to the white hooded sweatshirts she ordered for us.
Wish us luck…Juliet’s a little bit nervous about how the costumes are going to turn out (quoting from a G-chat conversation we had on Monday; Juliet: “aren’t cotton balls gonna be so small…like is it going to be impactful?”).
I assured Juliet that I know what I’m doing…but um yeah, I was kinda bluffing. I have 12 bags of jumbo size cotton balls sitting on my kitchen table right now, and my fingers are crossed.
